Clean rooms, although simple. But an excellent breakfast and very helpful staff. I left something behind, and the front desk staff was very kind and flexible in helping me with getting FedEx to ship it to me.
The rooms are great value and a vantasic location. You are in the Old City for an excellent price. Rooms were good sized and modern. Parking was a challenge, about a 10 min walk. However the city was super busy so lots of spots were full and I had a full size truck which needs a good size spot. The only negative on the Maison du General is we booked a 2 night stay and the room was not cleaned or towels replaced after the first night. Spoke to the front desk about it and he really did not seem to care, his attitude could have made a big difference in the service score I gave. All things considered I would stay there again mostly because of value/location.
Had a blast staying for two nights in this hotel. Less than 5 mins walk to town, VERY close to Fairmont Frontenac. Room was cozy and they have everything. Layout and building interior brings you back to the old times. Check-in and check-out were easy and they let us store our luggage after check-out since we wont get pick-up later that day.
We recently stayed at this location and booked the Kabir Kouba dinner package for 2 at the Sagamite. Absolutely wonderful! We've no complaints. Room was great (although not soundproof). I loved the brick walls and unique windows. Staff is limited, but clearly stated. Service by everyone was excellent.
Stayed here around Christmas. Really a perfect location in the old town, close to everything. Room had stone wall which we loved, and looking out over the Rue St. Louis was entertaining. We also enjoyed using the hot tub in the top floor of the associated Hotel Nouvelle around the corner. Thumbs up!

The hotel was very cute but not very well executed. The location was awesome, right middle of everything and right where you would want to visit. The rooms were not the best. We rented 2 rooms. The one room the air conditioner did not work. When this was brought to attention of the staff, they went I just doesn't work. The toilet in the other room didn't completely flush
We had a great stay for two nights! It's a quaint little historic hotel right in the old town area of Quebec City. Walking distance from cafés, restaurants, shopping, historic sites, and more! While the room was small, it was exactly as described and what I expected, and met our every need. Would stay here again!
